The properties of the coated textiles are measured before and after exposure to test liquids on one side. The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 054-04-04 AA "Kunststoff-Folien und kunststoffbeschichtete Flächengebilde (Kunstleder); allgemeine Eigenschaften" ("Plastic films and plastics-coated fabrics (artificial leather); general characteristics") at DIN Standards Committee Plastics (FNK).
