This document specifies the "Pointer-to-Process" solution, which equips standard codes within the scope of ICO/IEC 15418 and DIN SPEC 16598 with the additional function of Internet connectivity. The entire standard code is made available to the web server. This document can be used for all standard codes regardless of industry and specific application. All optical marking and RFID symbologies are supported as data carriers. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 043-04-31 AA "Automatische Identifikation und Datenerfassungsverfahren" ("Automatic Identification and Data Capture Techniques") at DIN Standards Committee Information Technology and IT Applications (NIA).
