Overview

This document specifies general quality requirements and the necessary test methods for pipes made of polyethylene with raised temperature resistance for PE-RT Type I and PE-RT Type II. This updated standard contains updates to DIN 16833:2009-09, including the addition of a reference characteristic for PE-RT Type I at 110 °C and the inclusion of a test temperature of 20 °C for the internal pressure creep rupture test. Working Committee NA 054-05-02 AA "Prüfverfahren für Rohre" ("Test methods for pipes") at DIN Standards Committee Plastics (FNK) is responsible for this standard.
