Overview

This standard specifies a procedure for the determination of flexural creep of pipes and components by four-point loading. It is directed at manufacturers and users of pipes and components. The determination of flexural creep is intended for determination of deformation behaviour of test specimen at static bending load under the influence of the loading time. The results of the determination of flexural creep can be used for estimation of the deformation behaviour plastic pipes and components which are in practice exposed to long-term bending stresses. The standard contains in particular quality aspects. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 054-05-02 AA "Prüfverfahren für Rohre" ("Test methods for pipes") at DIN.
