DIN 16961-1:2011-01

This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 054-05-04 AA "Profilierte Rohre aus thermoplastischen Kunststoffen mit glatter Innenwand" ("Thermoplastics pipes with profiled wall and smooth pipe inside"). Part 1 of the standard contains dimensions and tolerances for thermoplastics pipes and fittings with profiled wall and smooth pipe inside as well as specifications for joints. Due to the preparation of the European standard series EN 13476 for plastics structured-wall piping systems, non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage laid for special applications, and the corresponding publication of the DIN EN 13476 standard series made it necessary for NA 054-05-04 AA to revise the two existing national basic standards for profiled pipes, DIN 16961-1 and DIN 16961-2. Specifications of EN 13476 have been taken into account in the new editions, where relevant for the basic standards.
