This standard specifies dimensions for pipes made of polybutene (PB). It is directed at manufacturers and users of PB pipes. This document is intended to provide users with a basic standard with the dimensions of pressure pipes made of polybutene (PB). The standard contains in particular aspects of quality. The standard DIN 16968, which specifies the general quality requirements and testing for these pipes, will be published simultaneously with this standard (DIN 16969). The committee responsible for DIN 16969 is NA 054-05-01 AA "Außendurchmesser und Betriebsdrücke" ("Basic geometrical characteristics of thermoplastic pipes") at DIN.
