The standard specifies requirements for the installation and maintenance of construction products with fire resistance and/or smoke control characteristics according to DIN EN 16034 and describes the verifications to be provided. Installation types other than those defined in this standard are permissible if their suitability has been demonstrated, for example by providing verification of corresponding test or certification documents according to the European product standard.
