Overview

This standard defines the requirements and test procedures for retrofit products that can be subsequently mounted on door and window elements and can lock these elements and thus raise the resistance of these elements to invasion to such an extent that negotiation with simple tools is aggravated. Lockable window handles that are known on the market, for example, those that comply with DIN 18267, are not retrofit products as defined by DIN 18104-1, but they can be components of a retrofit product (kit).
