This document applies for the quantitative determination of the lime content in the laboratory of fine-grained and composite soils. The test is applied in earthworks and foundation engineering. It serves for the assessment of the soil mechanical characteristics of fine-grained and composite soils, especially with regard to diagenetic stabilisation process and formation of aggregates. The Committee responsible for the standard is NA 005-05-03 AA "Baugrund; Laborversuche (SpA zu CEN/TC 341/WG 6)" ("Soil; laboratory tests (Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 341/WG 6)") at DIN.
