DIN 18205:2016-11

This standard describes the procedure of requirements planning in building construction. It names the necessary process steps, specifies the type and scope of information, and also describes the essential contents and structure of the requirements plan - thus the documentation and communication of all requirements planning results. This standard applies to all types and sizes of projects in building construction. Requirements planning takes place at the beginning of the project and is reviewed and, if necessary, adjusted as the project progresses. It shall be applied on a recurring basis as changes in use and operational requirements dictate. Requirements planning is one of the client's responsibilities. The responsible committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-01-03 AA "Hochbau; Funktionelle Anforderungen/Anforderungen des Nutzers und Leistung im Bauwesen; Tragwerke, Außenumfassungen, innere Unterteilung (SpA zu ISO/TC 59/SC 3)" ("Building construction, Functional/user requirements and performance in building construction; structures, external envelope and internal divisions (national mirror committee for ISO/TC 59/SC 3)") at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau).
