Overview

This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 005-09-46 AA "Schließmittel (SpA zu CEN/TC 33/WG 4/TG 6)"("Closing devices (mirror committee to CEN/TC 33/WG 4/TG 6)") DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau). This document applies to two-part 3-roller spring hinges (hereinafter referred to as "spring hinge") and two-part 3-roller supporting hinges (hereinafter referred to as "supporting hinge") that are installed as a set (FE/KO set) on single-leaf fire-resistant closures as swing doors or flaps with a leaf mass of up to 80 kg in fire resistance classes T30 to T90 (according to DIN 4102-5) or EI2 30 to EI2 90 (according to DIN EN 13501-2). If higher requirements are placed on the closing device, such as damping of the closing movement, door closers with hydraulic damping in accordance with DIN 18263-1 or DIN EN 1154 are used. Such closing devices are always used when the fire doors are frequently used.
