ATV DIN 18302 "Borehole sinking operations" has been technically revised by the German Committee for construction contract procedures (DVA). It is applicable for the sinking of boreholes - for bored wells for - water extraction and introduction, - ground water lowering, - drainage, - degasification purposes, - for use as ground water gauging stations, - for taking geotechnical measurements, - to make use of geothermal energy, - to install anodes. It also deals with the maintenance, the rehabilitation and the abandonment of such boreholes.
