ATV DIN 18323 "Clearing of unexploded ordnance" has been editorially revised by the German Committee for Construction Contract Procedures (DVA). Among other things, the references to VOB/A have been updated. This standard deals with the location (by surveying and probing) and recovery of ownerless unexploded ordnance, and any preparatory work (such as stump removal, wrecking or demolition) liable to be jeopardized by the presence of munitions. It also covers the removal of soil contaminated by unexploded ordnance and the hauling of the material recovered to the screening and processing areas on the site.
