ATV DIN 18324 "Horizontal directional drilling works" has been compiled by the Deutscher Vergabe- und Vertragsausschuss für Bauleistungen (DVA) (German Committee for Construction Contract Procedures). This standard applies to directional drilling between an entry point and an exit point, using pilot hole drilling and other types of enlargement, with subsequent drawing in of pipelines, for example pipes, tube bundles, filters or seepage pipes and cables of any profile. Like all civil engineering standards of the VOB/C with a reference to the subsoil, this standard also contains regulations for the division of soil and rock into homogeneous zones.
