ATV DIN 18329 "Management of road safety measures at road works" has been prepared by the German Committee for construction contract procedures (DVA). It is applicable for the erection, moving to another position, provision, maintenance, operation and dismantling of all road safety equipment, such as traffic signs, traffic installations and portable (temporary) concrete or steel road safety barriers, for the control, guidance and protection of traffic on public roads within the scope of the Straßenverkehrsordnung (German Highway Code - StVO), that are necessary to carry out construction works of any type. In particular, it applies to road safety measures for construction works on or at roads of any type, public spaces (such as squares), footpaths and cycle lanes, local roads, trunk roads and motorways, where these are subject to the provisions of the Straßenverkehrsordnung.
