DIN 18532-3:2025-06

This document applies to the planning, execution, and maintenance of waterproofing of concrete areas trafficable by vehicles with a waterproofing design in which the waterproofing layer consists of two layers of polymerized bitumen sheeting. The layers are applied in full-surface bonding with the substrate and with each other. This document contains all the regulations required for this type of construction, unless they are already covered by the general regulations in DIN 18532-1. DIN 18532-3 is applicable in conjunction with DIN 18532-1. The waterproofing construction type regulated in this document is applicable to the following waterproofing construction types according to DIN 18532-1: - construction type 1a: Waterproofing layer on the structural concrete under a wear layer; - construction type 2a: Waterproofing layer on the structural concrete under a thermal insulation layer; - construction method 2b: Waterproofing layer on the thermal insulation layer under a load distribution layer. This type of waterproofing is applicable for waterproofing trafficable areas of use classes N1-V to N4-V according to Table 1. It can be used to bridge cracks of crack class R1-V according to DIN 18532-1 that occur in the concrete substrate.
