This document applies to the design, execution, evaluation, and documentation of engineering geodetic surveys - hereinafter also referred to as "surveys" for short - including their technical assessment. It specifies fundamental requirements for surveying objects of measurement. This document ensures the quality of engineering geodetic surveys and standardizes the documentation of such surveys. It contributes to: - obtaining reliable results; - making the acquired data available for its intended use; - and the ability to unambiguously interpret the results. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 005-03-01 AA "Geodäsie" ("Geodesy") at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau), Section Responsible for Geodesy and Geographic Information.
