DIN 18740-3:2015-08

This standard specifies requirements for the production of ortho-images from aerial and satellite imagery and derived ortho-image products. It serves to determine the quality requirements for ortho-images and ortho-image products and to describe the dependency of the quality of these products on the sub-processes and the individual parameters. With respect to DIN 18740-3: 2003-10, the following modifications have been made: a) The revised standard is reduced to the manufacture of digital end products and their requirements. The requirements for analogue end products have been deleted; b) Annexes A and C have become normative; c) in Clause 3, the English terms have been added; d) the standard has been editorially revised. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-03-02 AA "Photogrammetrie und Fernerkundung" ("Photogrammetry and remote sensing") at DIN.
