Overview
This standard applies to the use of cement-based mortar for the construction and rehabilitation of drains and sewers and structures in municipal drainage systems and sewage treatment plants. It specifies requirements and test methods for mortars which are used in drainage systems against exposure to wastewater. This standard does not apply to drainage systems in which untreated industrial waste water is discharged and not to separators. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 119-05-37-01 AK "Mörtel für Neubau und Sanierung von Entwässerungssystemen außerhalb von Gebäuden" ("Mortar for construction and rehabilitation of wastewater systems outside buildings") at DIN Standards Committee Water Practice (NAW).
