This standard specifies the shapes, dimensions, requirements, testing and marking for shovel and spade handles. Compared to DIN 20152:1989-03, the structure of the standard has been adapted to the current design rules. The abbreviations of the wood species according to DIN EN 13556 and the determination of the moisture content according to DIN EN 13183-1 have been adopted.
