Overview
Synthetics which are used in German underground mines shall meet particular safety requirements. The standard contains requirements and test methods for fire protection, explosion prevention (electrostatics) and hygienic properties of flat air ducts. Flat air ducts in accordance with DIN 21606 are flexible plastic ventilation ducts which are used for forced ventilation. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 008-07-05 AA "Kunststoffe" ("Synthetics") of FABERG.
