Overview
The standard applies to the construction and operation of mechanical brakes for hoisting winches on excavators, spreaders and auxiliary equipment. These include: - mechanical brakes for hoisting winches of bucket wheel booms; - mechanical brakes for hoisting winches of bucket ladders; - mechanical brakes for hoisting winches of discharge booms; - mechanical brakes for other hoisting winches which influence the stability of the overall equipment; - mechanical brakes for hoisting winches of driver's cabs and of booms for driver's cabs. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 008-10-01 AA "Bagger, Absetzer und Zusatzgeräte in Braunkohlentagebauen" ("Excavators, spreaders and auxiliary equipment in opencase lignite mines") of FABERG.
