Overview
The standard applies to the construction and operation of: - mechanical brakes for slewing gear of the slewing equipment parts of excavators, spreaders and ancillary equipment, the failure of which affects the stress state of the structure or the relative mobility of the various structural parts in such a way that the stability of the equipment is endangered. - overload protection devices in the slewing gear for bucket wheel booms or bucket ladders of the aforementioned equipment. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 008-10-01 AA "Bagger, Absetzer und Zusatzgeräte in Braunkohlentagebauen" ("Excavators, spreaders and auxiliary equipment in opencase lignite mines") of FABERG.
