This document exclusively specifies the requirements for the quality-assured execution of structural, that is load-bearing, adhesive bonding in shipbuilding, which includes the construction, conversion, and repair of ships and offshore structures and encompasses structural elements as well as equipment installations. The requirements specified in DIN EN ISO 21368 are supplemented by requirements specific to shipbuilding and offshore construction. Where applicable, regulations beyond the scope of this standard shall be observed for these and other areas of application not specified. This document has been prepared by Working Group NA 092-00-28 AA "Klebtechnik (DVS AG V 8)" ("Adhesive bonding technology (DVS AG V 8)") at DIN Standards Committee Welding and allied processes (NAS).
