This standard specifies the characteristics of cap nuts for bolted connections with waisted shank in product grade T2 with metric coarse thread from M12 to M120x6. With respect to the current standard, the horizontal bottom of bore has been included and figures and designation examples have been revised. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 067-00-03 AA "Verbindungselemente mit metrischem Innengewinde" ("Fasteners with metric internal thread") at the Standards Committee Fasteners (FMV) at DIN.
