This document contains safety specifications regarding the Ordinance on the Protection against Damage and Injuries Caused by Ionizing Radiation (Radiation Protection Ordinance). This document applies - for the marking of locations and objects as well as for the application and execution of the safety marking on plants and facilities where or in the vicinity of which ionizing radiation occurs; - for warning of radiation exposure by means of signs, barrier chains and warning stripes and for marking in accordance with the Radiation Protection Ordinance (StrlSchV) and the German X-ray Regulation (RöV). The committee responsible for this standard is NA 062-07-61 AA "Terminologie und Grundlagen" ("Terminology and fundamentals") at DIN.
