This document is applicable for shielding in nuclear power plants which is permanently installed or specially available for routine use for the protection of persons during commissioning of the installation and normal operation. The standard is applicable for Class A to B rooms in accordance with DIN 25440. It is not applicable for special investigations for testing of shielding intended for protection of materials against damage by radiation or activation. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 062-07-34 AA "Abschirmungen" ("Shielding") at DIN.
