DIN 27201-9:2024-08

This document has been prepared by Subcommittee NA 087-00-15-01 UA "Grundlagen" ("Basics") of Working Committee NA 087-00-15 AA "Zustand der Eisenbahnfahrzeuge" ("State of railway vehicles") at DIN Standards Committee Railway (FSF) in coordination with other Working Committees of FSF and of the "German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies (DKE)". DIN 27201-9 applies to measurements on railway vehicles and their components and serves to verify compliance with metrological product specifications. For measurements to be carried out in accordance with statutory provisions the applicable laws in their current version apply, for example the Weights and Measures Act. The standards of the complete work "State of railway vehicles" define the limit state for the safe operation of standard gauge railway vehicles and their components. They are to be applied if the vehicles are operated on a public railway infrastructure. The minimum requirements for the processes for maintaining the target condition of railway vehicles specified in the standards are also to be applied. In addition, the standards shall also be observed in new designs if design measures are required to ensure compliance with the operating limit criteria. The standard differs from DIN 27201-9:2017-06 as follows: a) modification of the title: "and manufacturing technologies" has been deleted; b) modification of the foreword: 1) DIN 27200 Supplement 1 has been deleted and replaced by a reference to DIN 27200:2021-03, 4.2; 2) references to withdrawn DIN 27201 standards have been made and their replacement documents specified; c) revision of the introduction to justify the requirement "Maintenance system"; d) revision of the scope: - including deletion of NOTE 1 "The design for maintenance-friendly inspection of the operating limits shall be taken into account. "; e) revision of the normative references; f) Clause 4 "Qualification of personnel" changed to "Personnel"; g) revision of the Bibliography; h) editorial revision.
