This standard is applicable for vessels of metallic materials which are not glass-lined and is primarily intended for process engineering purposes if reference is made to this standard in drawings or associated documents (for example, technical delivery conditions). It specifies the tolerances for dimensions which are important for the process engineering function or interchangeability of vessels or parts of vessels. DIN 28005-2 is applicable for glass-lined vessels. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 012-00-01 AA "Anlagenteile" ("Process equipment") of NA 012, the Chemical Apparatus Standards Committee (FNCA) at DIN.
