This standard applies to agitator vessels made of metallic materials, in particular in accordance with DIN 28136-1 and DIN 28136-2. The agitator vessels are not glass-lined and are primarily used for process engineering purposes. This document specifies limit dimensions for the dimensions that are important for the process engineering function or the interchangeability of agitator vessels or their parts. DIN 28006-2 applies to glass-lined agitator vessels made of steel.
