Overview

This standard applies for the dimensions and design of one-piece ellipsoidal heads, with and without a weld seam from non-alloy, low-alloy, or stainless steels, primarily used for process equipment. It is applicable for an external diameter range of up to 8 000 mm. For heads with larger dimensions or of other materials the scope of this standard is analogous; the tolerances - particularly of heads made of segments - or other materials shall be separately agreed upon. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 012-00-01 AA "Anlagenteile" ("Process equipment") at the Chemical Apparatus Standards Committee (FNCA).
