DIN 28117:2012-12

This standard applies to block flanges on process apparatus made of unalloyed, low alloyed and stainless steels as well as unalloyed steels with covers made of stainless steels for nominal sizes DN 15 to DN 500. Connecting dimensions in accordance with DIN EN 1092-1, PN 10 to PN 40. The following modifications have been made within the framework of the revision of DIN 28117: a) the scope has been expanded to include variants C (with height compensation) and D (with jacket shape); b) the normative references have been updated; c) information about surface finish have been revised; d) information about reinforcing block flanges and the requirements for the composition and design of welds have been added; e) in 3.3.1, flange facings B1 (raised face), D (groove, covered) and F (recess, solid and covered) have been added; 3.3.2 regarding test and vent holes was revised; g) clause 5 "Marking" has been revised. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 012-00-01 AA "Anlagenteile" ("Process equipment") at the Chemical Apparatus Standards Committee (FNCA).
