DIN 28124-1:2010-09

This standard applies to manhole closures, referred to in the following as closures, of carbon steels, carbon steels with surface protection and stainless steels on vessels and equipment without inner or outer overpressure. The closures are built onto equipment which predominantly serves process purposes. The special conditions for access openings in accordance with the Gefahrstoffverordnung (GefStoffV) (Ordinance on Hazardous Substances) or the BGR 117-1 as well as AD 2000 - Code A5, including Attachment 1 are to be observed. The flange mounting dimensions for these closures are specified according to the apparatus flange system (see DIN 28030-1). The flange diameters are smaller than those of pipe flanges. It is not possible to couple the flanges with mating dimensions according to DIN EN 1092-1.
