This standard applies to requirements and testing of overground expansion joints with stainless steel bellows units (hereinafter referred to as compensators) to DIN 500 and MOP 16 bar operated with gases in accordance with DVGW Worksheet G 260. It shall be noted that the applicable regulations of Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC shall be met for expansion joints according to this standard which are intended for MOP of more than 0,5 bar.
