DIN 3223 defines the requirements for handling keys for valves (pillar fire hydrants, underground fire hydrants, gate valves with square cap, ferrules). This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 003-01-06 AA "Industriearmaturen für die Wasserversorgung, Membranarmaturen, Rückflussverhinderer und Hydranten" ("Valves for water supply, diaphragm valves, check valves and fire hydrants") of the Valves Standards Committee (NAA) at DIN.
