This standard specifies the production of test pieces for gas welding and arc welding, for determining the hardness of hard facing on steel. With respect to the previous edition (1985-03), the test piece dimensions and test procedure have been changed. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 092-00-03 AA "Schweißzusätze (DVS AG W5)" ("Welding consumables (DVS AG W 5)") at NAS.
