DIN 33960-1:2010-05

This standard is applicable to stationary summer toboggan runs and their components. This standard deals with summer toboggan runs, flume type and summer toboggan runs on rails. The standard specifies safety requirements on routing, calculation, production, installation, testing and putting into service. This standard does not apply to passenger transport and cable cars which are subject to the cableway Directive 2000/9/EC and its changes in cable cars, which are leading to a certification of safety components in accordance with 2000/9/EC. Building requirements are not subject of this standard. This document (DIN 33960-1:2009) has been prepared at DIN by Working Committee NA 112-07-05 AA "Sommerrodelbahnen" ("Summer toboggan runs") in the Sports Equipment Standards Committee.
