This standard applies to sets of 3 taps consisting of a first taper tap (V), second tap (M) and bottoming tap (F), and to short machine screwing taps intended for the production of coarse pitch metric ISO-threads according to DIN 13-1. A useful length has been included for taps M1 to M2,6. The standard has been prepared in Working Committee NA 121-01-04 AA "Gewindebohrer und Schneideisen" ("Taps and dies") at DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices (FWS).
