This standard specifies requirements for the operator qualification of powder bed-based laser beam machines for additive manufacturing of metallic parts. DIN 35225 is applicable if the operator qualification testing is required by contract or by application standards. Annex A (normative) covers the content of the theoretical test and Annex B (normative) deals with the content of the practical test. Also included in DIN 35225 is an informative Annex C, which provides a useful sample qualification test certificate.
