This standard specifies requirements and tests for materials based on fibres, graphite or PTFE for flat gaskets used for gas valves, gas appliances and gas mains. The maximum permitted operating temperature is 150 °C. The materials are suitable for gases in accordance with the specifications of the DVGW Code of Practice G 260 and G 262.
