Overview

This standard specifies a method for determining the formation of selected PFCA from precursor substances in aqueous extracts (eluates) from soil materials and mineral construction waste using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometric detection. The lower application limit is 0,01 µg/l for the selected individual substances, whereby process-related increases in the lower application limit may occur in matrix-containing eluates. The method can be used for the analysis of water, provided that its suitability has been demonstrated by appropriate internal laboratory validation tests. This document has been prepared by Subcommittee NA 119-01-02-02 UA "Chemische und physikalische Verfahren" ("Chemical and physical methods") at DIN Standards Committee Water Practice (NAW).
