Overview
This standard applies to shut-off valves, check valves, air supply/exhaust valves and control valves for use in potable water supply systems as defined in DVGW W 400-1 and in accordance with the scope of DIN EN 1074-2 (shut-off valves), DIN EN 1074-3 (check valves), DIN EN 1074-4 (air supply/exhaust valves) and DIN EN 1074-5 (control valves), insofar as the valves have pressure-bearing housings made of metallic materials. This document has been prepared by DIN-DVGW Joint Working Committee NA 119-07-19 AA "Bauteile (außer Rohre und Rohrverbindungen) für Rohrleitungssysteme außerhalb von Gebäuden" ("Components (except pipes and fittings) for piping systems outside buildings") at DIN Standards Committee Water Practice (NAW).
