This standard applies to machine screwing taps with reinforced shank intended for the production of coarse pitch metric ISO-threads according to DIN 13-1 and fine pitch metric ISO-threads according to DIN 13-2 to DIN 13-5. Useful lengths have been included for taps M1 to M2,6 and for taps M1×0,25 to M2,6×0,35. The standard has been prepared in Working Committee NA 121-01-04 AA "Gewindebohrer und Schneideisen" ("Taps and dies") at DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices (FWS).
