This standard applies to the dimensions and designation of stud ends and ports with metric fine pitch threads, for fittings, valves and plug screws (port plugs) for general use in fluid power. This part of DIN 3852 includes the specifications for types with metric fine pitch threads. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 082-00-07 AA "Rohrverschraubungen" ("Compression couplings") at DIN Standards Committee Piping and Boiler Plant (NARD). The publication of this document has been necessary because the specifications in DIN EN ISO 9974-1 and DIN EN ISO 9974-3 had to be removed.
