This standard applies to the dimensions and designation of stud ends for fittings, valves and plug screws (port plugs) and their ports that are not specified in DIN EN ISO 1179-1 to DIN EN ISO 1179-4. DIN 3852-2 contains specifications for component parts with a) pipe threads where pressure-tight joints are not made on the threads as in DIN EN ISO 228-1 and b) Whitworth pipe threads as in DIN 3858. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 082-00-07 AA "Rohrverschraubungen" ("Compression couplings") at DIN Standards Committee Piping and Boiler Plant (NARD).
