This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 178-02-04 AA "Rohrverschraubungen" "Compression couplings" at DIN Standards Committee for Process and Plant Technology (NAPA). This document specifies dimensions and technical requirements for studs with tapered internal threads and cutting ring connections in accordance with DIN EN ISO 8434-1 that are used in non-soldering compression couplings. The studs are not suitable for high pressure applications exceeding 100 bar. Studs in accordance with DIN 3901, series LL, may also be used as a replacement together with form X ports according to DIN 3852-1 or DIN 3852-2.
