This document is an amendment to DIN 4000-140, which defines the characteristics for internally or externally toothed cylindrical gears (spur gears) with involute toothing. The change concerns the renaming of feature A1 to A100 for the description of workpiece toothing system data for involute gearing according to DIN 4000-140:2011-02. This document has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices (FWS), Working Committee NA 121-07-04 AA "Merkmallisten Verzahnungswerkzeuge" ("Tabular layouts of properties for gearing tools").
