Overview
This standard describes tool assemblies used in assembled condition in the tool magazines of a machine tool. This standard includes all components/component assemblies (according to 3.1 and 3.2) from the cutting edge to the machine mount, with all relevant adjustment dimensions, separation points, and parts list information. This standard applies in conjunction with DIN 4003-1 and DIN 4000-180 for the 3D representation of tool assemblies. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 121-07-02 AA "Aufbau von 3D-Modellen nach DIN 4000" ("Design of 3D models based on properties according to DIN 4000") at DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices (FWS).
