Overview
The standard applies to brick manhole bases of enterable circular shafts for drains and sewers. For brick manhole bases with other cross-sectional shapes the standard shall be used analogously. The use of brick manhole bases in accordance with this standard is useful if the effort for individual production of precise prefabricated components in accordance with DIN V 4034-1 is economically unreasonable. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 119-05-33 AA "Rohre und Schächte aus Beton für Abwasserkanäle und -leitungen (CEN/TC 165/WG 9)" ("Concrete pipes and shafts for drains and sewers").
