Overview
The product standard applies to earth covered fully and partially perforated and dual-purpose drains and fittings made from concrete, and their joints. The pipes and fittings are used in underground engineering and rainwater management for draining uprising groundwater and water from water bearing formations and for percolation of surface and seepage water by gravity, for instance in the following areas: - road and track beds; - components in contact with soil; - tunnelling; - earthworks and hydraulic engineering; - sports grounds. The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 119-05-33 AA "Rohre und Schächte aus Beton für Abwasserkanäle und -leitungen (CEN/TC 165/WG 9)" ("Concrete pipes and shafts for drains and sewers") at DIN.
